It is extremely disrespectful for white people like you and I to paint our faces and call it "Indian". This is a racial caricature and is no different from doing blackface. The headdress is a sacred object to Native Americans, very similar to a Congressional Medal of Honor and is to be earned feather by feather by the warrior who wears it, and it is only to be worn by men. It's a shame that a photographer as talented as yourself must do beautiful shoots where the subject is so blatantly racist. Perhaps instead of doing a skinny white girl in a war bonnet (which is so overdone anyway) you can attempt to photograph REAL Native American people in their own beautiful regalia?
